STFX Soccer Academy – Italia Tour 2009

Juventus U-17 (Serie A) and STFX Soccer Academy post game photo

After keeping the U-17 Juventus Academy to a half time 0-0 score, the Juve boys took advantage of a late second half penalty to break the deadlock. The penalty was followed by two other goals towards the end of the match as they overcame Xavier Academy’s outstanding performance. In the last of the Academy’s 8 matches of their Italia 2009 Tour, the boys played their best soccer.

Kassim Khimji was excellent in goal and displayed the best performance a goalkeeper from FX has given the Academy, including their recent tours to England and college showcase tournaments.

'This was by far the best experience and opportunity I have had to display my abilities' Khimji went on to say.
“The coaching was tremendous and the Tour was top notch especially since we were competing against the best players in Italy and the future stars of the Serie A”.
